Dryers are autonomous units which are dimensioned according to the total capacity of storage silos. The capability of the dryer depends on the levels of moisture of the grain and of-course the size of the dryer.
The capacities of dryers are generally from 3 to 60 t/h of grain at a moisture level of 28%. If a larger drying capacity is required, it is possible to install more dryers in a parallel configuration. The heating of the air can be achieved by using fuel oil, gas or with biomass. Drying can be direct or indirect.
